At Borromeo, we strive to create clothes more beautiful than they need to be. We want women to feel their best selves and to celebrate their sacred femininity without fear.

Sustainability is a big deal at Borromeo. All garments are made to order and created here in New Zealand. Whilst reducing wastage, it also means that your rare garment will be custom-made with love, just for you. We use locally sourced natural or deadstock fabrics ensuring that all styles are limited edition.

Alex Kneebone is the creative force behind Borromeo (her mother’s maiden name). Armed with a Bachelor of Art and Design majoring in Fashion, plus 20 years of designing clothes—having lived in Japan, London, France, and Colombia and working for small New Zealand fashion labels—Alex draws on her wide breadth of experience and travels to infuse each Borromeo design with a playful yet timeless aesthetic.
